SERVING ON SUNDAYS

Wondering how you can serve? Sunday worship requires all hands on deck and involves everyone not just the priest/pastor. So if you are wondering how you can begin to serve in the name of Jesus, Sundays are a great way to get started! There are many opportunities available for you serve:

Hospitality

Have a gift for hospitality and making people feel at home? Help out in the hospitality team. Our Hospitality Team provides a first impression by greeting at the front doors and connecting with guests. They also usher during the service, make coffee and help clean up after the service. If you consider yourself friendly, like to smile, and connect well with others this might what to serve in the hospitality team.

Music

Can you sing or play an instrument? The music team is a great way for you to use your musical gifts to the greater glory of God as you help lead us all into worship and praise.

Readers

A big part of our worship includes listening to God speak to us. One way to serve on Sundays is by reading the Word of God. If you have a knack for reading Scripture articulately and passionately, volunteer to read one of our lessons or psalm on a Sunday morning during the service.

Acolytes

Adults, Teens and kids (3rd Grade+) serve as acolytes, which means altar attendant. They help carry the cross and torches, and the Gospel book, as well as lead the procession and help serve at the Altar.

Altar Ministry

The Altar Ministry Team makes sure we have communion bread, wine, chalices, linens, and candles ready for worship. If you serve on this team you get a behind the scenes look at Christ Church.
